MyNewTerm is on a mission to digitise recruitment in education and connect schools and candidates directly. In a nutshell, we are a digital SaaS platform for candidates to apply online via a fully compliant application process while enabling schools & MATs to fully digitise their recruitment process. In just a few years, we’ve grown rapidly and today MyNewTerm connects tens of thousands of candidates (and counting!) with schools every year. 🎯 The role of Marketing Assistant:

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support our marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Marketing Executive, you will play a key role in executing digital marketing strategies, managing social media, designing marketing assets, and assisting with email marketing campaigns. You will also attend events and promotions to represent the company and enhance brand visibility.

 🚀 The main responsibilities of a Marketing Assistant:  

  • Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts, creating engaging content and responding to audience interactions.
  • Design and develop marketing assets such as graphics, promotional materials, and presentations.
  • Support email marketing campaigns, including writing content, setting up campaigns, and analyzing performance.
  • Coordinate with external partners, designers, and agencies when necessary.
  • Attend events and promotions, assisting in event setup, coordination, and engagement with attendees.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the company website and blog content.
  • Support administrative marketing tasks and reporting as required.

👊 Required Skills, Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • Any relevant experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media management.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to attend and support company events.
  • A proactive and creative mindset with attention to detail.

👌Desirable qualifying experiences (the nice-to-haves!): 

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in the education sector.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. MailerLite) is an advantage.

🏢 Job location:

This role will be based at our office, which is situated at Wrest Park, Silsoe (MK45 4HR) with home working on a Friday.

⏲️ Working pattern:

The role is offered on a full-time basis of 37.5 hours per week, term time only OR 52-weeks per year for an exceptional candidate. Working hours will be 08.30am to 4.30pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. There may be the option for this role to be part-time (minimum 4-days, 30-hours per week).
