General Summary
As a member of the UK Sales team, the Account Manager’s primary role is drive up sales revenue within their assigned territory to meet (and exceed) sales targets set by the head of UK Sales.
Within their assigned territory, Account Manager is responsible for the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead management to identifying, quoting, negotiating, and closing new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
(As coordinated by the Head of UK Sales)
- Demonstrate the Newline range to customers – Education, Corporate and Blue Light.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company, its resellers, and its product range.
- Respond to inbound and outbound sales enquiries promptly and professionally, consistently delivering exceptional service.
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline within the assigned territory.
- Explore, qualify, and advance leads and opportunities, effectively addressing any objections from prospective customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations via webinars or face-to-face meetings, as appropriate.
- Create and issue price quotations.
- Ensure all communications related to sales leads and opportunities are fully documented and kept up to date in the company CRM system
- Coordinate with the Pre-Sales team to support prospects throughout the sales cycle.
Skills, Ability and Experience
- Experience within education ( 80% of sales is within this sector ). Making this an excellent opportunity for former teachers looking to transition into a commercial role.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- A passion for technology and a desire to stay informed about industry advancements.
- Confident communicator, able to build a rapport and sustain relationships in a B2B environment
- Solid IT competence and an enthusiasm to develop technical skills – including the use of social media to enhance sales
- Able to manage and prioritise daily and weekly workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
