Did Teach – Thoughts
I was excited to speak with Sam as she was one of the early adopters of Did Teach’s Franchise Board when we were a small startup. Even in those early days, Sam understood the value a teacher can bring to her business.
There is no doubt that Sam has drive and ambition, having won multiple awards for herself and her business, but what was really interesting to hear was Sam’s urika moment. Like many of us, Sam encouraged her children to join clubs and activities, during this time Sam had an epiphany, behind her ambition for her children was a need she had to fulfil for herself. Sam started swimming Masters, this took the competitive emphasis off her children and onto herself, therefore creating a more emotionally healthy relationship with her family.
I think what resonated with me was that as teachers we are always putting others first, it’s the nature of the job. Taking a moment to reflect on what you want in life isn’t selfish and as Sam has proved you can raise a family, start and nurture a business and win medals with your hobby.
Children Inspired By Yoga is a multifaceted organisation, working across all age groups: Baby Bumpkin 0-2, Tatty Bumpkin 2-7, Tatty Guroo 8-11 and Guroo Yoga 11-16. Making it a very viable choice for teachers as you can focus on your favourite key stage.
The other revelation is you don’t need any yoga experience to take on this franchise, you don’t even need to run the sessions, you can have a team of teachers running the classes and you can work on the business side, or you can mix and match. So Children Inspired By Yoga is a very exciting business opportunity for teachers who relish career autonomy.
Do watch this video and get in contact with Sam if you feel Children Inspired By Yoga is a viable children’s franchise for you.
