Are you are a recruiter?
No, we are not a recruitment company, although we can offer recruitment services if clients promoting jobs want additional help.
I am currently teaching. Why are you useful?
We work with many organisations that support schools, some offering amazing services or advice that can be a game changer for education. Teachers are often shielded from this because decision makers are the ones looking beyond the school for inspiration. We can expose you to a range of opportunities that can actually enhance your teaching and the lives of students.
Are you a charity?
No, we are not a charity. We generate revenue by working with clients. As teachers ourselves we have made this platform as free as possible for teachers. We do offer some paid courses to help with career progression, but otherwise the site is free for teachers.
If I see a random job should I apply?
All the roles we promote are from organisations that understand the skills teachers have. Just because a role is not directly related to education should not put you off. These organisations have specifically chosen to advertise with us because they believe a teacher would be a great fit. Maybe they’ve had a positive experience of hiring teachers previously or it could be that the skills demanded of the role align with the soft or hard skills that you possess.
We don’t scrape or collate jobs so you can apply for opportunities with confidence.
Can you offer me advice?
Yes, we are more than happy to chat to you and offer career advice and support, so please get in contact
Are you encouraging teachers to leave the profession during a recruitment crisis?
No, that is not our objective. We champion teachers and their skills. In doing so we aim to ensure that teachers get brilliant career advice that is best-in-class. There is a retention crisis but there should be no stigma about teachers having squiggly careers.
In fact, if teachers know there are alternative pathways and that their skills are valued, graduates might be more inclined to opt into teaching in the first place. Equally, wouldn’t it be interesting if there was more overlap between teaching and other professions?
I am feeling emotionally vulnerable. Can you help?
The mental health of the teaching workforce is of paramount importance. We work alongside Education Support in order to ensure that teachers can get the right support for free. Please visit them for more details.
