This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing education technology company focused on improving literacy, language and academic success through high-quality vocabulary instruction. You will lead the development of a new KS2 and KS3 curriculum programme, creating engaging lessons and resources that help teachers deliver impactful vocabulary teaching across the curriculum.

As the programme grows, you will also play a key role in building relationships with schools, delivering CPD, supporting implementation and helping expand our network of partner schools. We are a small organisation with a social purpose, so we are looking for someone who is excited about the job description, but who is also interested in learning more about all aspects of running an education start-up and keen to support Vocabulous’ strategy and growth beyond their job role.

  • Creating classroom resources, assessments and implementation tools
  • Ensuring curriculum content aligns with national curriculum expectations and current literacy research
  • Working closely with product and design teams to develop engaging digital learning experiences
  • Piloting and refining materials based on teacher feedback
  • Delivering training sessions, workshops and CPD for teachers and school leaders
  • Presenting the programme to prospective schools and educational partners
  • Supporting schools with implementation and long-term success
  • Helping grow and strengthen the company’s network of partner schools

  • A strong understanding of effective vocabulary instruction and literacy development
  • Confidence delivering CPD or presenting to educators
  • The ability to communicate educational ideas clearly and persuasively
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • A passion for improving outcomes for young people through language and literacy

Desirable:

  • Experience working with schools across multiple settings
  • Understanding of educational technology and digital learning platforms
  • Experience scaling educational programmes or leading implementation projects

What we offer:
